About Us
We currently reside in Flint, MI, just minutes away from the most supportive and loving parents and lots of extended family.
To talk about ourselves and our story, is really just to tell you about JESUS. He has shaped every aspect of who we are and is the center of every part of our lives.
We believe that every person is born spiritually dead, unable to have a relationship with God, because of sin (Romans 5:12). Unfortunately, the penalty for sin is, ultimately, death apart from God (Romans 6:23).
BUT, because of God’s infinite love for us, He made a way to pay that penalty for us -- Jesus! (Romans 5:8)
God sent His son, Jesus, to live a sinless life, die on the cross in our place, conquer death three days later by living again, and in doing so, He paid the payment for our sins.
We believe that if you choose to accept Jesus’ gift of salvation and receive Jesus’ payment, your sins are forgiven, you are spiritually reborn, and your relationship with God is restored.
After salvation, when God looks at you, instead of seeing our sins and shortcomings, He sees Jesus’ perfection (Romans 4:22-25).
This salvation is nothing we can work for or do enough good for. It’s nothing we accomplish on our own (Ephesians 2:8-9).
We believe that Jesus will save anyone who turns from their own way, whether that’s trying to do enough good or not trying to do good at all, and turns to Jesus as their only way (John 14:6).
Accepting Jesus as your savior is incredibly easy - Just ask! (Romans 10:9-10 & 13)
This is the reason we feel so blessed. Not because our situation is perfect, not because of our health, or our circumstances, or because Sofia is or is not cancer free; but because no matter what happens, we have Jesus! He never promised our life, even after salvation, would be easy (Matthew 5:45); but, He did promise that when things were hard, He would be our strength. He promised us hope in darkness, peace when we are anxious, forgiveness when we get it wrong, wisdom to make the right decisions, comfort when we mourn, and JOY no matter what life brings us. He has been faithful in keeping every one of these promises, and we are so, beyond thankful for Him!
